INSIGHT - penetrating mental vision or discernment; an understanding of the motivational forces behind one's actions, thoughts or behaviour; an understanding of relationships that sheds light on or helps solve a problem.
VISION AND PURPOSE: To teach and support others to learn and apply knowledge of internal control psychology and use the insights, understanding and skills they develop to improve the quality of their lives and the lives of others they live and work with, through respectful, responsible relationships.
APPROACH
I use my knowledge of the psychology of Choice Theory, a model of our internal control system, its application in the process of Reality Therapy and the principles and practices of Lead Management in all I do.
While my practices are based on these, what I do also links with a variety of other approaches such as Self Determination Theory, the Strengths Approach, NLP, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing.

As well as working for Education Queensland as a High School teacher I have also worked as a Behaviour Support Teacher, SWPBS Regional Coordinator training teams and supporting up to 48 schools to implement School-wide Positive Behaviour Support. As a Behaviour Specialist and Coach I worked with a number of schools, consulting and providing staff training and coaching in a variety of areas.
Currently I am a Basic Intensive Training Instructor and a Practicum Supervisor with Glasser Australia and have worked with people who have completed a Basic Intensive Training course I have also taught numerous the Take Charge of Your Life courses, as well as running many Peaceful Parenting courses through various community organisations.
Recently I have also worked as a life coach, teaching and supporting individuals to take more effective control of their lives and create more satisfying relationships with the most important people in their lives.
